Giving Voice: Celebrating 50 years of the Liverpool Women’s Health Centre

Marking the 50th anniversary of Liverpool Women’s Health Centre – my textile and wooden sculptures are being exhibited alongside works from artists Diane Baker Smith, Susan Grant Murphy and Louise Whelan – for GIVING VOICE – an exhibition at Yellamundie, Liverpool Library and Art Gallery.  The Liverpool Women’s Health Centre was established in 1975, by women for women while Gough Whitlam was PM at a time of significant social change, providing access to education, employment, counselling, holistic care, abortion and legal services, housing and refuge.  Presented by Liverpool City Council, Casula Powerhouse and Liverpool Library in partnership with the Liverpool Women’s Health Centre.

Exhibition opens on International Women’s Day – Sat March 8 at 2pm.  Yallamundi Art Gallery – Liverpool Library 52 Scott Street.
